SC upholds Justice Jaynul Abedin's anticipatory bail

Staff Correspondent: The Supreme Court (SC) upheld anticipatory bail of former Appellate Division judge Justice Md Zainul Abedin in connection with a notice issued by the Anti-Corruption Commission in 2010 seeking his bank statements.

A 3-member appellate division bench led by M Abdul Wahhab Mia passed the order on Monday.

Earlier, on July 10, the HC granted anticipatory bail to Joynul in connection with the ACC notice after he filed a petition seeking the bail fearing that he might be arrested when he would go to submit the bank statements.
