Sports Desk: Bangladesh made a turnaround against West Indies after the Caribbeans lost Nicholas Pooran and Evin Lewis to Shakib Al Hasan.

West Indies appeared to be in control of the match despite losing the wickets of Evin Lewis for 70 off 67. But Shakib removed him when he tried to hit a big shot but mistimed to long-off.Lewis and Shai Hope had added 118 runs in the second wicket stand.

Mohammad Saifuddin managed to send back Chris Gayle for a duck.

After 33 overs, West Indies were 166 for three wickets.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bowl first at Taunton in their fifth match of the ongoing World Cup. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza opened the attack and took a maiden over at the start of the innings.

Bangladesh made one change in their playing XI as Liton Das replaced Mohammad Mithun.

Before this match, both Bangladesh and West Indies secured three points each from four matches in this World Cup so far with one win, two losses and one no-result match.
