Salary, bonus for workers before 20 Ramadan demanded

Staff Correspondent: Leaders of garment workers have demanded salaries, allowances and overtime payment of workers within Ramadan 20.

Leaders of Jago Bangladesh Garments Sramik Federation made the demand from a human chain formed in front of National Press Club on Friday.

The leaders said garment owners pay the workers at the eleventh hours of Eid every year. As the workers cannot get enough time to visit home, they cannot celebrate Eid with their near and dear ones. So, salary and bonus should be paid within Ramadan 20.
