Seaports asked to hoist signal 2

Staff Correspondent: The maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted distant warning signal No 2 as a low lies over the southeast bay.

Under its influence deep convection is taking place over the South Bay, said a Met office bulletin.

Gusty/squally wind speed 60-80 kph or more is likely to occur at few places over Barishal, Comilla, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mymensingh and Sylhet.

All fishing boats and trawlers over the South Bay and deep sea have been advised to take shelter immediately and remain in shelter till further notice.
