Section 144 imposed in Sarishabari upazila

Jamalpur Correspondent: The local administration has imposed Section 144 in Sarishabari of Jamalpur as both BNP and Awami League opted to hold rallies at the same venue.

Administration and local sources said that Union Worker Dal declared rally at Salam Barrister High School field of Char Satariya village demanding release of Khaleda Zia at 3:00pm on Friday. Besides, union Awami League announced programme at the same venue.

Following the issue, local administration imposed section 144 in the area. 

Acting Upazila Nirbahi Officer Firoj Al Mamun said that the restriction was imposed to avert any kinds of untoward situation.
