Man killed in city road crash

Staff Correspondent: An elderly man was killed in a road accident in city’s Mirpur-1 area under Shah Ali police station on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Sultan Ahmed, 75, hailed from Taltala upazila of Barguna district.

Sources said that the victim went to Eye Hospital in the area around 9:00am. Meanwhile, a speedy bus hit him when he tried to get down from the bus, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead around 12:30pm.
