Staff Correspondent: Jatiya Gonotantrik Party chief Shafiul Alam Prodhan died of heart failure early Sunday.
He breathed his last at his residence in the capital’s Asadgate area, confirmed Nahid Hassan, senior vice-president of the party's Chatra League unit.
He said Prodhan suddenly fell sick early Sunday. He had breathed his last before he took to hospital.
The schedule of his namaz-e-janaza and burial would be informed later, he added.
