Shakib ruled out of 3rd New Zealand Test

Sports Correspondent: Shakib Al Hasan, the Bangladesh all-rounder, has been ruled out of the third Test match against New Zealand.

BCB director also cricket operations chairman Akram Khan on Monday said there is not any possibility that Shakib Al Hasan can play the third Test.

Akram Khan said, “We got medical report. He (Shakib) can’t return to cricket before March 20. After returning to cricket, he needs training after which we’ll determine in which position he is now. So, there is no possibility that can go to New Zealand.”

Shakib is out of field now following a finger injury. He was in three week rest after the injury suffered during the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) final. 

Bangladesh’s third Test against New Zealand will be started on March 16 in Christchurch.
