Shamim, Ivy will be called, says Quader

Staff Correspondent: Awami League (AL) will sit with Narayanganj MP Shamim Osman and Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) mayor Selina Hayat Ivy over their clash at broad day light happened on Tuesday, leaving dozens injured.

AL general secretary, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said this in a briefing at the party president Sheikh Hasina's Dhanmondi political office on Wednesday noon.

Quader said, "I was in the parliament session while Narayanganj SP informed me the matter. Then, I made phone call to them and asked stopping the unexpected incident immediately."

"We will inquire into the matter. Later, we will call them and discuss the issue to consider who is responsible for the incident, "he added.

He said, "I also made call to them again after talking to the PM on Wednesday morning. We will call them and discuss the issue."

"I have already requested Home Minister to investigate into the matter and asked him to take steps whether the person is responsible," he said.

When asked over the date of calling them, the minister said, "It our internal matter. We, however, will call media and then sit with them."
