Signal 3 at sea ports

Staff Correspondent: The deep depression over the east-central bay and adjoining area of Bangladesh has turned into cyclonic storm.

The maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal No 3.

According to a met office special bulletin, it is likely to intensify further and move in a north-northeasterly direction.

Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted distant cautionary signal number three following the deep depression in bay of Bengal.

All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to take shelter immediately. They have also been advised to remain in shelter till further notice.
