Senior Correspondent: Popular singer Monir Khan has announced to resign from BNP as he was not given a chance to contest in the 11th parliamentary elections with “sheaf of paddy”.
Monir Khan made the announcement of his resignation at a press briefing at the Press Club in the capital on Sunday evening.
Being aggrieved, he stepped down as BNP’s central committee co-cultural affairs secretary.
The singer was supposed to run in the national elections from Jhenaidah-3 constituency.
