Singer Putul gets engaged

Entertainment Desk: ‘Close Up-1’ famed singer Sazia Islam Putul got engaged with Canadian expatriate Nurul Islam on March 15.

Putul’s fiance lives in Canada where he works at a government office.

When contacted, Putul told risingbd on Sunday that: “An engagement ceremony organised by my family held on March 15. Only close people attended the ceremony. We’ll tie the knot on March 20.”

About her marriage, Putul said, “It’s an arranged marriage. I met Nurul a few days ago. His best quality is that he doesn’t find the outer appearance of a person, look for only the inner side. I got this virtue in him with a little span of acquaintance. This is one of the reasons for which I like him.”

“This is one of the important chapters in my life. I seek blessing and well wish from everyone for our future journey.” the singer said.

‘Close Up-1’ is one of the most renowned TV reality shows for singing in Bangladesh. Putul participated in its second season in 2006. After that, she sang several solo songs and released some mixed albums.
