Six deals likely during PM's Bhutan visit

Staff Correspondent: Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali said that the government may sign six agreements and memorandum of understanding with Bhutan during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit which will start from Tuesday.
The minister made the disclosure while briefing reporters on Monday over Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s three-day visit to Bhutan at the invitation of her Bhutanese counterpart.
The six agreements will be on different issues including agriculture, cultural cooperation, and using of Bangladesh’s inland water route by Bhutan, among others, during the visit, he said.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her entourage members will take off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka for the Bhutanese capital on Tuesday morning on a Druk Air VVIP flight which is scheduled to reach Thimphu at 11:35am local time.
Bhutanese PM Tshering Tobgay and Bangladesh Ambassador in Thimphu Jishnu Roy Choudhury will receive the PM Hasina at the airport.
