Six fake DB police men held in city

Staff Correspondent: Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detained six fake DB policemen from Uttara sector-10 early Monday.

Identities of the detainees could not be known immediately.

Sub-Inspector Masudul Islam of DB airport zonal police team, said acting on information that a group of robbers taking preparation to commit robbery in guise of DB police, a team of detectives conducted drive in the area around 2:00am and detained them. Meanwhile, a robber tried to flee the scene and police opened fire aiming his leg, leaving him injured.

Later, the injured one was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Duty Officer Mofazzal of Uttara west police station said a case was filed in this regard.
