Sports Desk: Discarded Australian cricketer Steve Smith has been ruled out from the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) after an elbow injury. He will return to Australia for further treatment.
BPL franchise Comilla Victorians has announced the official confirmation of Smith return to Australia.
Leading the franchise, Smith scored just 13 runs from two matches before he met with this sudden injury which has cut short his stint at the BPL.
Victorians head coach Mohammad Salahuddin told media.
He further said that he expects Smith to be back in the side wishing him a speedy recovery.
"Smith has suffered an elbow injury. We are not sure how he picked it up, but the last two days he could not bat in training due to the problem. He had an MRI test here but the result was not very clear. He sent the report to Australian physicians who advised him to return home immediately" Victorians' head coach Mohammad Salahuddin said.
