‘Sohel Taj's nephew to be traced’

Senior Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal assured that the nephew of former State Minister for Home Tanjim Ahmed Sohel Taj, who has remained missing for 10 days, will be traced as the law enforcers have already been instructed to work on it.

The home boss came up with the assurance while talking to reporters after a function marking the signing of the annual performance agreement of Security Services Division under the home ministry on Tuesday.

When asked about the missing of Sohel Taj's nephew Sayed Iftekhar Alam Sourav, the home minister said Sohel Taj called him to this end. "A general diary was filed in this regard. I asked the law enforcement agencies to look into the matter."

Kamal said there might be two aspects. "Someone might have picked him up or he might have gone somewhere. He will be traced no matter where might be."

According to the general diary, Sourav was picked up by plainclothes men from in front of Afmi Plaza on June 9 evening. A black colour Pajero Jeep took the victim, said Sourav’s father Idris Alam.
