Soumya makes first breakthrough for Tigers

Sports Desk: Soumya Sarkar earned the Tigers’ must-needed breakthrough in his first over of the game removing Australian captain Aaron Finch for 53 off 51 with five fours and two sixes.

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza gave the ball to Soumya aiming to break the opening pair of Australia, and the right-arm medium pacer did his job properly. Finch and Warner added 121 runs in the first wicket stand.

While the report was filed, Australia were at 197 for one in 34 overs.

Bangladesh included Rubel Hossain and Sabbir Rahman in this match as Mohammad Saifuddin and Mosaddek Hossain Saikat were left out due to injuries.

Saifuddin has been suffering from a back problem while Mosaddek sustained a blow on his right shoulder in the previous game against West Indies.
