Spanish edition of Bangabandhu’s autobiography launched

Secretariat Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has unveiled the Spanish version of “The Unfinished Memoirs,” the autobiography of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The launching ceremony of the book was held at her official residence Ganabhaban on Thursday.

Spanish Ambassador to Dhaka Alvaro de Salas Gimenez de Azcarate also spoke at the event.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, International Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister Gowher Rizvi and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam were present at the event.

The book has been published by the Spanish Embassy in Dhaka.

The book was first published on June 18, 2012 in its original Bangla version titled, "Oshomapto Attojiboni," as well as in English.

The book is now available in 10 languages, including: Chinese, Japanese, French, Urdu, and Arabic.

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman wrote the book while in prison from 1967-69, and in it, he narrated his life. He also wrote of his: ancestry, birth, childhood, as well as social and political activities during his student life.
