Sramik League leader hacked dead in Sreepur

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: A Sramik League leader was hacked to death by miscreants in Sreepur Upazila of the district on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Umar Faruk, 27, son of Hafijul Islam at Parchimkhanda village and organizing secretary of Sreepur Municipality Sramik League.

According to police and locals, miscreants, after stabbing him with sharp weapons in Kewa Parchimkhanda area fled the spot immediately. Locals rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead.
