Sports Desk: Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 79 runs to clinch title of the tri-nation series (involving Zimbabwe).

After opting to bat, Sri Lanka managed to score 221 runs, thanks to Upul Tharanga’s 56 and contributions from Niroshan Dickwella and Dinesh Chandimal.

The Tigers fell in trouble with a 22 for 3 when Chameera took out Tamim Iqbal and Sabbir Rahman while Mohammad Mithun was run out.

Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim showed some resilience before Mushfiqur was out leaving the team’s score at 80 for four.

Madushanka sealed the win by taking the wickets of Mahmudullah, skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and Rubel in back-to-back balls.
