Sri Lanka beat Zimbabwe by 5 wickets

Sports Desk: Sri Lanka beat Zimbabwe by five wickets in the 4th match of the Tri-nation series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Sunday.

Chasing the 199-run target set by Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka scored 202 for 5 in 44.5 overs, where opener Kusal Perera played top-scoring innings of 49 off 57 balls, including four boundaries and one six.

Thisara Perera’s unbeaten 39 and Dinesh Chandimal’s 38 not out helped the islanders chase the target. Ealier,  Perera also starred with the ball, picking 4/33, while Nuwan Pradeep picked 3/28 to restrict Zimbabwe to 198.

Thisara Perera got the man of the match title for his outstanding performance in the match.

Earlier, Zimbabwe opted to bat first after winning the toss against Sri Lanka and were all out for 198 in 44 overs where Brendon Taylor hit a half century of 58 off 80 balls, including six boundaries.
