Sri Lanka set 215-run target for Bangladesh

Sports Desk: Sri Lanka set 215-run target for Bangladesh in the 3rd T20I of the tri-nation Nidahas Trophy at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday.

The hosts, thanks to Kusal Perera’s 74 and Kusal Mendis’ 57, managed to score 214 runs losing six wickets in 20 overs.

Kusal Perera hit a brilliant innings of 74 runs off 48 balls which includes eight fours and two sixes.

Kusal Mendis also hit a half-century to set a challenging score for Bangladesh. He scored 57 runs off 30 balls with two fours and five sixes.

Opener Danushka Gunathilaka earned 26 runs off 19 balls with three fours and a six.

Upul Tharanga (unbeaten) bagged 32 runs off 15 balls with four fours and a six.

For Bangladesh, Pacer Mustafizur Rahman earned three wickets while skipper Mahmudullah Riyad bagged two wickets. Another pacer Taskin Ahmed got a wicket.

Bangladesh best XI: Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Mahmudullah Riyad (captain), Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Kumar Das, Sabbir Rahman, Mehidy Hasan, Nazmul Islam, Rubel Hossain, Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman.
