‘Steps for Khaleda’s treatment once she agrees’

Staff Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will be given treatment as she wishes at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) or Combined Military Hospital (CMH). But she has yet not given her consent in this regard.

The Minister told this to the reporters after emerging from a programme at Tejgaon Government Science College in the capital on Wednesday noon.

Home Boss said, “BNP chief Khaleda Zia has been informed about the steps of her treatment at BSMMU or  CMH. But she has yet not given her opinion in this regard. Doctors who regularly give treatment to Khaleda Zia were taken to the jail. We also took measures for conducting necessary wellness check to her as per their prescription.”

Home Minister said, “We hope she (Khaleda) will give her consent at any time. Then we will take measures in options we belong to. We are waiting for her consent. Alongside, she is being given all necessary facilities as per the jail code.”
