Student crushed under bus in city

Senior Correspondent: A student was crushed under the wheels of a speedy bus in front of Bashundhara gate of Pragati Sarani area in the capital on Tuesday morning.
The victim was identified as Abrar Ahmed Chowdhury, honours 1st year student of International Relations Department of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).
The accident took place in the morning when a bus of ‘Suprovat Paribahan’ ran over Abrar, leaving him dead on the spot, according to sources.
Students of different private universities blocked the road in front of Jamuna Future Park following the death.
The students are chanting slogans demanding capital punishment of the bus driver.
