Students continue street protests for 2nd day

Staff Correspondent: Student protesters returned to the streets in parts of Dhaka for the 2nd straight day demanding proper investigation and justice over the road accident that killed a student yesterday.

The students were seen blocking the street again in front of Jamuna Future Park around 9:30am on Wednesday.

Abrar, son of Brig General (retd) Arif Ahmed Chowdhury of Bashundhara area and a honours 1st year student of International Relations Department of the university, died as a ‘Suprovat Paribahan’ bus ran him over in front of the Bashundhara Gate at 7:30am on Tuesday.

Angered by the accident, students took to the street and blocked the road in front of Jamuna Future Park, halting the traffic movement from Kuril Bishwaroad to Vatara.
