Students of Sufia Kamal hall boycott polls

Staff Correspondent: Students of Sufia Kamal Hall are demonstrating on the hall premises boycotting polls.

Students of the hall said, “We want to see all ballot boxes, otherwise we will cast our votes”.

They alleged that the authorities did not show three boxes out of nine.

Earlier, voting at Kuwait Maitree Hall centre of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) election was postponed after evidence of rigging.

Voting at the girls’ hall was suspended around 9:30am after a stash of stamped ballots in favour of Bangladesh Chhatra League’s panel was found. Female students found the stash, in a sack, inside the reading room.
