Subarnachar Rape: Ruhul Amin's bail cancelled

Staff Correspondent: The High Court cancelled the Monday’s bail order of Ruhul Amin, in connection with a case filed for raping a woman at Subarnachar in Noakhali.

The HC bench of Justice Mamnoon Rahman and Justice SM Kuddus Zaman passed the order on Saturday.

Earlier on Monday, Ruhul Amin, mastermind of the gang-rape of a woman in Noakhali's Subarnachar upazila secured bail concealing information. Later, the bail issue created a media hype and the High Court cancelled his bail on Saturday.

Ruhul Amin was the publicity affairs secretary of Subarnachar Awami League, but the party expelled him after his alleged involvement in the rape case. He was also a former member of Char Jubilee Union Parishad. Police arrested him on January 4 in connection with the rape case.
