Subarnachar gang-rape mastermind Ruhul Amin gets bail

Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) has granted anticipatory bail for a year to Ruhul Amin, the mastermind who allegedly ordered his accomplices to rape the mother of four at Noakhali's Subarnachar upazila.

The HC bench of Justice Mamnoon Rahman and Justice SM Kuddus Zaman passed the order on Monday.

Deputy Attorney General Advocate Biswajit Roy confirmed the news to newsmen on Thursday.

He said, “An advocate on record has been appointed to file petition seeking stay of his bail. Hearing on the petition will be held on March 25 at the court of Chamber Judge Court.

Ruhul, whose name was not mentioned in the first information report, is publicity affairs secretary of Subarnachar Awami League and also a former union parishad member.
