Subir Nandi’s body to be brought back Wednesday

Staff Correspondent: The body of prominent singer Subir Nandi, who died at a Singapore hospital on Tuesday, will be brought back home on Wednesday morning.

It will be taken to the Central Shaheed Minar at 11:00am for people from all walks of life to pay their last respects to him.

It will subsequently be taken to Bardeshwari Kali Temple and then to be cremated in the crematorium.

Dr Samanta Lal Sen, national coordinator of burn unit, confirmed the news on behalf of Subir Nandi’s family.

He said, “Subir Nandi’s body will reach home around 6:10am on Wednesday. It will first be taken to his home at the capital's Green Road area. I t will then be taken to the Central Shaheed Minar for people from all walks of life to pay their last respects to him. It will subsequently be taken to Dhakeswari Temple and then to the Ramakrishna Mission premises.”
