Suicide of CMCH doctor: Wife Mitu on 3-day remand

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram:  Dr. Tanjila Haq Mitu has been put on a three-day remand in connection with the suicide of her husband Mustafa Murshed Akash, a doctor of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH).

A Chattogram metropolitan magistrate granted her remand plea on Monday.

Earlier, a team of Counter Terrorism Unit of police arrested her from Nandonkanon area of the port city on last Thursday.

Mustafa Murshed Akash, 33, died allegedly by suicide at his residence in Chandgaon Residential Area in the port city.

Akash wrote a suicide note accusing his wife Mitu.
