Tamim terms it 'frightening experience'

Sports Desk: Bangladesh national cricket team got saved from the attack in a mosque in New Zealand’s Christchurch. Opener Tamim Iqbal mentioned the incident as a 'frightening experience'.

Earlier, the crickets were practicing at Hagley Oval on Friday. After the practice session, they were heading towards a local mosque to offer Jumu'ah prayer. When they got down from the bus, the players came to know terrorist attack took place in the mosque and become panicked. Meanwhile, they managed to return from the spot.

New Zealand Herald reported that at least 27 people have been killed. 

Tamim tweeted, “Entire team got saved from active shooters!!! Frightening experience and please keep us in your prayers.”

Another cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim in a tweet said, “Allah saved us today while shooting in Christchurch Mosque...we were so lucky...thanks to Almighty...
We were so close and don’t want to experience these things again...pray for us.”

On the other hand, the third and final Test between Bangladesh and New Zealand at Christchurch has been cancelled after the incident.
