Tangail-4 by-poll Tuesday

Staff Correspondent: The by-polls to Tangail-4 constituency (Kalihati) will be held on Tuesday (January 31).

The voting will be continued from 8:00am to 4:00pm uninterruptedly.

Election Commission director (publicity) SM Asaduzzaman confirmed the matter on Monday afternoon.

He said that there is no obstacle to hold the election after overcoming all types of legal complexity.

22 joint force members of Police, Ansar and Battalion Ansar will be deployed in every poll center. Besides, striking forces and 15 mobile teams will be in alert till the next of day of election.

The parliamentary seat remains vacant as sacked minister Abdul Latif Siddique quit his parliament membership on the same date.
