Technical glitch: Plane makes emergency landing in Dhaka

Staff Correspondent: A Qatar Airways flight made an emergency landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka due to technical glitch.

The aircraft landed at the Airport around 9.40pm on Monday.

Airport sources said the flight left for Qatar in the evening, but soon found that two of its rear tires had problems. Later, the pilot of the flight contacted with airport authority and made emergency landing.

Major Shakil Newaz, director (operation and maintenance) of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defense (BFSCD) said that the fire service authority was ready, so everything was done smoothly. The passengers are safe.

Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) public relations officer AKM Rezaul Karim said that a total of 300 passengers and 18 flight crew members were in the flight.
