Staff Correspondent: Three people have died from electrocution in rail-crossing area under Patiya upazila of Chittagong district on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Mannan, 24, Shahadat Hossain Hannan, 21 and their uncle Nur Mohammad, 28.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Neyamat Ullah of Patiya Police Station said that an auto rickshaw plunged into a roadside canal yesterday night. Later, the three people were electrocuted while recovering the rickshaw.
The bodies were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
