Three cops shot by drug peddlers in city

Staff Correspondent: Three cops have received bullet injuries as drug peddlers shot them at Gendaria of the capital.

They are being given treatment at a local hospital, police said.

Kazi Mizanur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gendaria Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said, “Drug peddlers shot at cops of a patrol team when they challenged them at Sheltech area of Gendaria in the capital around 4:30pm on Thursday while bringing Yaba tablets, leaving two Sub-Inspectors (Sis) and a constable injured.”

Members of police, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Intelligence Agencies surrounded the area since the incident.
