Three doctors land in Dinajpur jail over graft scam

Staff Correspondent, Rangpur: A Dinajpur court sent three doctors of M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital to jail in a graft case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Judge of Dinajpur Senior Special Judge’s court Hossain Shaheed Ahmed passed the order on Monday afternoon.

The accused are Dr Siddiqur Rahman, Dr ABM Iqbal and Dr Abu Bakkar Siddique.

ACC Deputy Director Md Abdul Karim of Dinajpur district office said that the three doctors during their working period in M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital embezzled Tk 74,98,050 jointly.

Later, following the matter, ACC assistant director Amirul Islam filed a corruption case with Dinajpur Katwali police station on August 26, 2015.
