Three militants could not be identified

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: Three militants among four who were killed in "The Operation Eagle Hunt" in Chapainababganj hideout could not be identified as their bodies were deformed in explosion.

Police recovered the bodies around Friday noon from the spot.

Then Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in the district Wares Ali Mia said, "Only Abu was ascertained while three others could not be identified as their bodies were deformed in the blast."

He, however, said DNA of all the four have been collected for identification and the bodies were taken to hospital for autopsy.

Earlier, Superintendent of Police (SP) Mujahidul Islam said bomb disposal unit also seized a suicidal vest and a pistol from the scene.

Habibul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibganj Police Station, said there might be more explosive inside the den. Work has been started to make listed the arms and explosive.

Members of Counter Terrorism unit along with local police cordoned off the house of one Saidur Rahman alias Jentu Biswas at Trimohoni village of the district's Shibganj upazila early Wednesday.
