Three more explosions heard from 'Atia Mahal'

Staff Correspondent: Three more explosions took place at 'Atia Mahal' in a suspected militants den in Shibbari area of Sylhet city on Saturday.

Sounds of heavy gunshots and explosions were heard from the spot as army commandos along with police and SWAT were conducting the operation codenamed “Twilight” at the five-storey building.

A unit of Para Commando Battalion of Bangladesh Army is conducting the operation using several armoured vehicles with the help of police and SWAT members.

GOC (general officer commanding) of Sylhet-based 17 Infantry Division Major General Anwarul Momen is leading the 'Operation Twilight'.
