Three remanded over admission test fraudulence

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court has placed three people on a four-day remand in a case filed for question paper leakage of "D" unit of Dhaka University (DU).

Judge Begum Mahmuda Akter of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court passed the order after hearing on Saturday.

The accused were identified as Mohiuddin Rana, central BCL assistant secretary (sacked) and first-year student of DU's Physics Department, Abdullah Al-Mamun, third-year student of Applied Chemestry and Israk Hossain Rafi.

Earlier, Mohibul Islam, senior assistant superintendent of Criminal Investigation Department (CID), also Investigation Officer (IO) of the case filed with Shahbag Police Station, produced them before the court and sought a seven-day remand.

It may be mentioned that they were held from centers outside of the campus during examination held Friday.
