Tigers reach Chattogram to win 3-match ODI series

Sports Correspondent: Bangladesh and Zimbabwe cricket team in a same flight reached the port city Chattogram on Monday evening for the last two matches of the three-game ODI series.

The Tigers will face Zimbabwe in the second and third ODIs at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Cricket Stadium (ZACCS) on October 24 and 26 respectively.

The match of October 24 will break the two-year hiatus of ZACCS staging an ODI as the ground last hosted a 50-over game back in 2016 when England played the third game of that series here.

Both Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will get one practice session at ZACCS on Tuesday before the second and penultimate ODI.

Earlier on October 21, the first match was played between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka where Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by 28 runs.

Bangladesh batted first and despite a top-order debacle posted 271 runs on the board, riding on opener Imrul Kayes’ career-best 144-run innings. Zimbabwe were later restricted to 243.
