Tk 230cr holding tax due in capital

Staff Correspondent, from Parliament: Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain told the House on Monday that two city corporations (Dhaka North and South) have a total of Tk 230,74,94,297 over due holding tax from individual house owners.

The Minister said this while responding to a starred question from treasury bench member AKM Rahmatullah of Dhaka-11.

"There is no house without holding number under the two city corporations," Mosharraf Hossain said.

He said the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has an over due holding tax of Tk 73,74,94,297 from individual house owners having number and the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has an over due holding tax of Tk 157 crore from individual house owners having number.
