Tk 700cr budget set for 11th parliamentary polls

Staff Correspondent: The Election Commission (EC) has approved an estimated budget of Tk 700 crore to hold the 11^th parliamentary election.

EC Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed told this to reporters after a day-long meeting held on Monday.

“We have discussed many topics related to the upcoming national elections. Today’s meeting was very important. The chief election commissioner (CEC) has given us direction about what steps should be taken for the election,” the EC said.

The CEC told us that we have a budget of Tk 700 crore within which the election should be held, Helal Uddin said.
