Traffic restrictions for Pahela Baishakh

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) announced plans restricting traffic on Dhaka roads on Pahela Baishakh.
DMP press release said, no vehicles will be allowed to enter the Dhaka University area where the main celebrations will be held on the first day of the Bangla New Year.
Roads to be blocked in city:
• Bangla Motor-Old Elephant Road and Telecommunication Bhaban crossing-Paribagh crossing-Ruposhi Bangla crossing.
• Shahbagh crossing-Matsya Bhaban-Kodom Foara (fountain) crossing-High Court crossing.
• Zero point to High Court crossing and UBL to Kodom Foara.
• Hotel Ruposhi Bangla crossing-Minto Road-Bailey Road-Hare Road-Kakrail Mosque crossing-Matsya Bhaban crossing.
• Nilkhet crossing to TSC crossing.
• Palashi intersection to Doel Chattar via Shahid Minar.
• Bakshibazar to TSC crossing via Jagannath Hall.
• High Court crossing-Doel Chattar crossing-Shahidullah Hall crossing.
• Navy admission information booth to Holy Family Hospital.
Besides, the vehicles have to follow diversions in the capital given by the DMP.
