Traffic suspended for 14 hrs on Dhaka-Rangpur highway

Bogra Correspondent: Traffic movement will remain suspended on Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Bogra for 14 hours due to repair work on a bridge at Mahasthangarh of the district's Shibganj upazila.
Vehicular movement will be suspended from 8:00pm on Saturday and will continue till 10:00am on Sunday.
Md Ashrafuzzaman, executive engineer of Roads and Highways Department in Bogra, confirmed the news.
The decision has been taken to avoid complexities of repair work on damaged bridge in Mahasthangarh, he added.
He said emergency service and small vehicles were advised to use the alternative route -- Mahasthangarh Bazaar- Shibganj-Amtoli-Mokamtola road.
