Train communication with Khulna halted

Staff Correspondent, Khulna: The rail communications on Jashore-Khulna route has been halted as a train hit a stone laden truck in Shashan yard rail crossing area in Jashore's Nowapara.

Khulna railway sources said Rajshahi-bound Kapotaksha Express Train left Khulna Station at 6:30am on Tuesday. But, stone-laden a truck tried to cross the rail cross illegally and hit the train in the area around 8:00am, halting the train communication of Khulna with rest of the country.

The railway authority has already started rescue operation after the accident.

Baitul Islam, Rail Examiner of Khulna railway station said couple of more hours would be required to restore the rail communication.
