Train derailment in Gazipur

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: North Bengal’s train communications with Dhaka has been suspended from Friday morning after an intercity train went off the tracks in Salna Bazar area of Gazipur city.
Sub inspector Subrota Das, also in charge of Joydebpur railway junction, said four wheels of a compartment of Dhaka-bound Rangpur Express derailed in the area at around 9:45am, halting train communication.
A rescue team has started to salvage the derailed compartment.
No causalities were reported.
