Trial begins in Krishna Kaberi murder case

Staff Correspondent: A court in Dhaka on Thursday started trial against KM Jahirul Islam Palash in college teacher Krishna Kaberi Bishwas murder case.

Judge Shahed Nuruddin of the Dhaka’s Speedy Trial Tribunal 1 indicted Palash after rejecting his discharge petition on Thursday.

The court framed charges accusing KM Jahirul Islam Palash in the murder case.

The court also fixed May 25 for next hearing in the case.

Krishna Kaberi was murdered, allegedly by Zahirul Islam Palash, a business associate of Krishna’s husband and BRTA Deputy Director Sitangshu Shekhar Biswas who was also injured in the Mar 30 assault 2015.

Detective Branch of police pressed charges against Palash on May 30 last year.
