Tried best for people's welfare: PM

Staff Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday opined, "We tried our best for the welfare of people. People will judge us."

The Premier was speaking at a national addressing to the people as chieftain of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on completion of her government’s three years of being re-elected to office.

“We’ve stepped into the third year of this term. The next election will be held when our term ends.”

“We believe in democracy and the people of this country.”  

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged people from all cast and creed across the country to forge a national resistance against emergence of militancy in Bangladesh.

She said, “Bangladesh is a role model of development and it is now on the highway of development.”
