Truck plunge kills 6 in Naogaon

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: At least six people were killed and three others injured as a truck plunged into a roadside ditch in Manda upazila of Naogaon district on Saturday morning.

The incident took place around 8.30am in Delowabari area.

The deceased were identified as Ashraful Islam, Abdul Mannan, Dipen Gosh, Aminur, Delwar and Saheb Ali.  All the deceased hailed from Maria village of Gobindapur union under Bagmara upazila in Rajshahi district.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Manda Thana Anisur Rahman said a Rajshahi-bound bamboo- laden truck from Naogaon plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering in the area, leaving the casualties.
