Truck seized with bonded textiles in Ctg

Staff Correspondent: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) recovered a covered truck loaded with bonded textiles worth Tk 20 lakh in Pahartali area of Chittagong.

Sources said that acting on a tip-off, a team of CIID conducted a drive around 8:00pm on Wednesday and seized 3,903 kilograms of high quality textiles imported using bond facility by KD Garments Industries Ltd, an export oriented garments manufacturing company located at Keraniganj, Dhaka.

Customs Intelligence Director General Dr Moinul Khan confirmed the matter to risingbd.com on Thursday.

The law enforcers seized the truck with the cloths on charge of misusing bond facility.
